HRIR6304: Employee Learning & Development: The Competitive Advantage of Learning Organizations

Learn how to build healthy, dynamic learning and development (L&D) cultures that align employee growth with organizational success—and transform the workplace experience. This course combines cutting-edge theory with practical examples from human resources, psychology, and organizational development to design impactful initiatives that create lasting, meaningful change. Students will master the complete learning and development cycle: from pinpointing root causes and crafting targeted interventions to launching initiatives and measuring the impact. The course explores how to accelerate development while balancing work-life considerations that boost personal and organizational performance. By the end of this course, graduates will be prepared to confidently create and lead L&D initiatives that foster sustainable, continuous development and organizational excellence. prereq: MHRIR student, 6301 or dept consent
